Talking Movies

The Oscar nominations are out. On February 26 we will find out who made best films in the past year and will be remembered in history as an Academy Award winner.
This time it is not about the Oscars, it is about films and film makers most of the world never heard of. Some of them were nominated, some of them never will be. Some of them already received awards or they made short movies that got them jobs in Hollywood. They proved that hard work, dedication and passion always pays off.  Each of them has a story that deserves to be told.
The Internet change the world for the better, nowadays you don't need much to make the world now about you, especially if you are talented. Whatever you do, now, there is a medium to present your work to the world. If you are talented don't waste your talent, because art is important.

I find these people very inspiring and they are those I want to look after on the way to achieve my goals. I am sure will certainly see all of them taking the walk of fame in the film industry.

These are their films:

I MET THE WALRUS

Director: Josh Raskin
In 1969, a 14-year-old Beatle fanatic named Jerry Levitan snuck into John Lennon's hotel room in Toronto and convinced him to do an interview. 38 years later, Levitan, director Josh Raskin and illustrators James Braithwaite and Alex Kurina have collaborated to create an animated short film using the original interview recording as the soundtrack. A spellbinding vessel for Lennon's boundless wit and timeless message, I Met the Walrus was nominated for the 2008 Academy Award for Animated Short and won the 2009 Emmy for 'New Approaches'.

SILENT BEATS

Director: John M Chu

John made this film while he was a student at the USC School of Cinema-Television in 2000. It might seem a bit slow but please watch it till the very end.

PANIC ATTACK

Director: Fede Alvarez
Fede got his breakthrough with this film he made in 2009. After uploading to YouTube millions of people viewed it and he got an offer to work in Hollywood. Of course he accepted it.
